Clan News

Raid #56 was a full raid run of Dark Hours on Saturday, April 2nd. It was a successful run, and completed in a bit over two hours. Two Eagle Bearers dropped, one for me and one for Colin, allowing us to give them to Mike and Kirk. This was Poy's first full raid run, and he did a great job.

Below are our timings per boss encounter, as well as video clips.

Raid #53 was a full raid run of Dark Hours on Saturday, March 19h. It was a successful run, and completed in a bit over 90 minutes, with Paul and Evo getting their Eagle Bearers. Our newest clan member Haku joined us, and his raid experience was quite evident. Encounter progression went very quickly, with most of the encounter time occuring with Razorback.

Raid #51 was a full raid run of Dark Hours on Sunday, March 5th. It was a successful run, but sadly no Eagle Bearers dropped for our efforts. As usual the group cleared all the encounters leading up to Razorback swiftly, but we had a bit of an effort to complete the final encounter.

Below are our timings per boss encounter, as well as video clips.

Raid #50 was a full raid run of Dark Hours on Sunday, February 27th. It was a successful run and Norse secured his Eagle Bearer! We cleared all encounters fairly quickly except for Razorback, which took a few attempts.

Below are our timings per boss encounter, as well as video clips.

(Apologies for the late raid summary.)

Raid #49 was a full raid run of Dark Hours. This was our first successful full raid run as a clan! We completed the raid in less than two hours, but alas, no one secured an Eagle Bearer. However, the following night we did a successful pick up full raid run and Colin got his Eagle Bearer thanks to Flat Mike, and Ice was lucky enough to loot his very own as well.

Below are our timings per boss encounter, as well as video clips.

Raid #47 was a clan Discovery run of Iron Horse. Since all participants were familiar with raid, we were able to go quickly and skip unneeded tutorials, resulting in in the raid being finished in a little over 54 minutes. There were no wipes.

Below are our timings per boss encounter, as well as video clips.

Raid #46 was a clan Discovery run of Iron Horse, with Dirk and Ron being new to the raid. We had one wipe in the Foundry as folks learned some of the symbols, but after that brief stumble things went smoothly, in spite of my rather spotty instructions.

Below are our timings per boss encounter, as well as video clips.

Raid #45 was a clan Discovery run of Dark Hours. This was Ghost's first complete raid run, and things went very smoothly, with no wipes. We completed the raid in about 56 minutes, a vast portion of which was me yammering on. Thanks to all the Rat Blastards who participated.

Below are our timings per boss encounter, as well as video clips.

Raid #44 started out being a clan Discovery run of Dark Hours, but after a very quick successful completion, we opted to take on a Discovery run of Iron Horse. We had three clan members, Mike, Nesh and Patric, who hadn't run either raid before, and everyone did a fantastic job. We completed Dark Hours in an hour, and Iron Horse in 91 minutes. The runs went quick with the exception of my needless instructional blathering. Many thanks to those Rat Blastards raid vets who took the time to participate and make this a great experience.

Raid #38 was a clan discovery Iron Horse raid run. The raid started about 20 minutes after the scheduled start as we filled seats and was our fourth and fastest successful completion of the new raid. Total raid session time was about an hour and half.

Raid #37 was a clan discovery Iron Horse raid run. The raid started about 30 minutes after the scheduled start as we filled seats and was our third successful completion of the new raid. Total raid session time was about two hours.

Raid #34 was a clan discovery Iron Horse raid run. The raid started about 10 minutes after the scheduled start and was our first successful completion of the new raid. Total raid session time was about two hours.

With the release of the discovery mode for the new operation Iron Horse raid, it's time for the clan to give it a go. I've very arbitrarily selected Saturday night for our attempts, but we can adapt and adjust to make sure it can work for anyone who wants to participate. We also will look to put Dark Hours in the mix when we've got folks wanting to do that. The raid clock on the home page shows exactly when in your local time the raids are scheduled for.

Saturday's raid was a full clan discovery raid run, with two first time raid participants: Dave B. and Shawn. The raid started about 15 minutes after the scheduled start time and was completed successfully, with a no wipes in about an hour. Actual time in boss encounter combat, though, was a mere 27 minutes.

Raid #30 was a clan discovery raid run, with two non-clan member guests, mrpeprah and Nebodude, joining us. The raid started 25 minutes after the scheduled start time as we tried to filled some empty seats, and was completed successfully, with a no wipes in under 47 minutes.

Raid #28 was a clan discovery raid run, with one non-clan member guest, Nebodude, joining us. The raid started 15 minutes after the scheduled start time and was completed successfully, with a single wipe on Razorback, in 1 hour and 37 minutes.

Raid #26 was a clan discovery raid run. The raid started fairly promptly after the scheduled start time and was completed successfully, with no wipes, in 1 hour and 3 minutes.

Raid #25 was a full clan discovery raid run, our first since Title Update 8 and the Warlords of New York expansion. The raid started 15 minutes after the scheduled start time, mostly due to the captain not being as organized as he should be, (that would be me.) The raid was completed successfully, with no wipes, in 1 hour and 7 minutes.

With the majority of the active clan having completed the Warlords of New York campaign, it's time to resume with our weekly raids. For now, we'll do one Discovery raid a week on Sundays, until we get a feel for the impact the new build system has on raiding.

With Title Update 8 set to drop tomorrow, today's full raid run #24 will be our last scheduled clan raid until further notice. Scheduled raids will resume again after a short break while people sort out new builds and level up within the new expansion.

Raid #22 was a full raid run. We made it all the way to Buddy & Lucy once again, getting close to beating them several times. But sadly, we couldn't defeat them. We spent about three hours in last night's effort.

Raid #21 was scheduled to be a full raid run, but since we were light on seats and had new clan members, we decided to do a discovery raid run. We began fifteen minutes after the scheduled start, and had a full group of 8 clan members. We completed the raid successfully, with no wipes, in 54 minutes. This was a glitch free run!

Raid #20 was a full raid run, and our first successful downing of Boomer and also clearing the hangar. Also, it's apparent there's now an issue with tank bosses getting stuck when climbing over obstacles with the last update. Our victories and this new glitch may be related. Video highlights of our wins, as well as the full raid run are below the fold.

Raid #19 was scheduled to be a full raid run, but we were a little light on seats, so we opted to do a discovery raid run instead. We started a bit later than scheduled as seats got filled, and managed to start with a full group of 8 clan members. We completed the raid successfully, with no wipes, in a little over an hour, even with Boomer glitching and getting stuck.

Sunday's full raid run kicked off a few minutes after 9 PM GMT, with a slight delay caused by scheduling confusion due to our website raid clock incorrectly labeling the raid time as GMT. It's actually always shown in local time. That was my fault.

We worked at Boomer for an hour and fifteen minutes and got him down to two bars, our best run yet. We had some other solid runs as well. We are getting close. Video highlights below, as well as the whole raid run.

Raid #17 was scheduled to be a full raid run, but we didn't have enough seats booked, so we opted to do a discovery raid run instead. We started a bit later than scheduled as we tried to fill seats, and eventually kicked things off with 7 clan members. We completed the raid successfully, with no wipes, in a little over 45 minutes.

Raid #16 was a scheduled discovery raid for this past Wednesday. However, we didn't have enough seats filled, so no raid happened.

As a reminder, going forward we won't be having regularly scheduled discovery raids. We will be doing two scheduled full raid runs a week: one on Saturday at 21:00 GMT and one on Sunday at 21:00 GMT. Midweek doesn't seem to be a good time, and it's impossible for the US members to join in.

Raid #15 was a full raid run that started on time at 21:00 GMT. Because we had done some full raid attempts earlier in the week, we got skip the tarmac, thanks to a checkpoint and go straight to Boomer. And we spent the next two hours with him.

Last night’s full raid run was over two hours trying to defeat Boomer. We had some good attempts, getting him below half, but ultimately could not beat him. But we did improve and learn a few things.

Last night's discovery raid run started with six agents, but by the end of the tarmac, we had seven. Even being a seat short, we easily finished the raid in less than hour. It was Marijan’s (SgtStoka) first raid run with the Blastards, but not his first time raiding, and he did a great job.

We're switching things up and taking them to the next level in terms of our raid runs. Wednesday and Saturday nights will be Discovery Raid runs and Sunday nights will be the Standard Raid. The time for all these raids is the same: 21:00 GMT / 22:00 CET / 16:00 EST. I've added a countdown to the home page of the site to each of those.

The scheduled raid run was such a great time that we ran a second run after the first with only six members and succeeded. Details of the second raid come after the summary of the scheduled raid run.

I've been working on a discovery raid guide for a bit, and there's enough there to be helpful to our clanmates who are heading into the raid for the first time. I've added it to our guides page. Sadly, it's not yet complete, but I'll continue to update it for the remaining three bosses.

Due to illness and several Blastards just returning from travelling, we didn't have the numbers to do a weekend raid run. We will try again soon.

The raid run started at 9:15PM GMT and was a full clan member raid run. It was Sam's first raid attempt after just having reached world tier 5 the day before. We successfully completed the raid in 1 hour 13 minutes without any wipes.

The raid run started at approximately 9:20PM GMT. This was a full clan member run. It took 42 minutes to successfully complete the raid, with no wipes, which is a new record for the group. We weren't even trying to go fast...

The raid run started at 9:12PM GMT, with Dave (NY) filling in an empty seat. This was a full clan member run, yet again! It took 61 minutes to successfully complete the raid, with no wipes, in spite of a close call with Buddy & Lucy.

This was Westi's first raid run, and with him filling our last empty seat, we had yet another full clan member group. We started about 8:20PM GMT.

Wednesday night at 11:30 PM CET there were enough Rat Blastards on to do a raid run. But one of those Blastards had to get up early for work, so we had special guest Yovideogames2017 join us once again. It took us about an hour to basically laugh and shout our way to a successful completion.
